School Districts Join ECCO2 Program to Fight War on Carbon Emissions Reduction in America

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - July 22, 2010) -  Over 90 independent school districts throughout the United States have joined ECCO2's war on carbon emissions reduction by using the ECCO2 and ECO Systems patent technology on their school buses and fossil fuel boilers within their facilities. 

Currently there are over 12,000 school buses that have been using the ECCO2 and ECO Systems products for the last 7 years. The ECO Systems device results include reduction of carbon emissions by as much as 90%, (according to municipal emissions reports) and better fuel economy by as much as 10%.

Travelzoo says most travelers want green hotels

In honor of Earth Day’s 40th anniversary, Travelzoo Inc., a global Internet media company, published a listing of exceptional eco-certified hotel deals. The company conducted a national survey and found 91 percent of travelers prefer to stay at a green eco-certified hotel given price and amenities are comparable to a non-certified hotel.

Coca-Cola Enterprises (NYSE: CCE) announced it is going green with the deployment of hybrid electric delivery trucks in North America. As part of its overall commitment to energy conservation and climate change, CCE plans to deploy an additional 185 hybrid electric trucks across the United States and Canada in 2009, bringing their total number of hybrid electric delivery trucks to 327, the largest such fleet in North America.
